Books for the Financial Sector

Over the years, Paria Publishing Co. Ltd. has researched, written, designed and produced a number of history books on the Trinidad and Tobago financial sector, viz. Republic Bank, RBTT / RBC, Scotiabank, Citi and TECU Credit Union. Most recently, we have completed the history of the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago.

Stand out in the Noticeboard Clutter!

In 2010, we got a really nice assignment from Angostura’s HR department. HR felt that its messages were not getting through to the workers, and rightly got us to do an internal branding campaign for them. We developed a template for the department to be used in all its communications (PowerPoint presentations, information leaflets and so on). Part of the roll-out were more or less wacky posters that really stood out when pinned on the cluttered noticeboards in the factory and offices. Here are some samples!

BG Trinidad and Tobago Employee Handbook

large as a company as BG, it is easy to feel like a little fish in a big pond. Working closely with BG’s Corporate Communications department, we were able to create an employee handbook that ensures this overwhelming feeling is taken care of, providing all the information that employees should know. While observing visuals encompassing each aspect of life in BG, employees can read about benefits, career paths, rules and much more; everything you need to know to get the most out of your job experience.

For many years, Paria Publishing Co. Ltd. has assisted the Judicial Sector in Trinidad and Tobago with a number of their publications.

From coffee-table books to celebrate fifty years of the Appeal Court of the nation, to practitioners’ manuals like the CCPR, to illustrated and annotated Distinguished Lecture Series, to the Eminent Caribbean Jurists Series™, to detailed works on Labour Law—the literature and handbooks published by the Judicial Education Institute of Trinidad and Tobago, the Caribbean Court of Justice’s Academy for Law, and Justice Deborah Thomas-Felix of the Industrial Court of Trinidad and Tobago, are all vastly important, living documents.

The design and layout of the Energy Platform Magazine was an enjoyable first time collaboration with the Ministry of Energy Affairs. The Energy Platform highlights the projects undertaken by the Ministry during 2014 and showcases the handwork and dedication of key people and their participation in special events.

Museum of the Sugar Industry at Sevilla House

In 2015, Paria Publishing Co. Ltd. was given the opportunity (and two rooms) in Sevilla House, Brechin Castle, Couva, to conceptualise and design an exhibit about the history of the sugar industry in Trinidad and Tobago. It’s a beautiful location in Central Trinidad, and thanks to Peter Sorzano and his Signs & Designs crew who undertook fabrication and installation of our designs and artwork, we were able to finish on time and within budget!
